Remove the cap and stopper, place the reeds in the bottle, and give them a few hours to soak up the oil. The scent builds over the first day or two as the reeds fully saturate.
Use fewer reeds (3–4) for a softer scent in bedrooms, bathrooms, and other small spaces. Add more reeds for living rooms and open areas where you want a stronger scent.
Flip your reeds about once a week to refresh the scent. Flip them over a sink or paper towel — fragrance oil can mark wood finishes and painted surfaces, so wipe up any drips right away.
Keep your diffuser out of direct sunlight and away from vents, fans, and heaters, which make the oil evaporate faster and can make the scent overpowering. Set it on a stable surface out of reach of kids and pets.
Your diffuser lasts 12–18 months or longer depending on your space and airflow. If the scent fades while there's still oil in the bottle, the reeds may be clogged — swap in a fresh set of extra reeds.
